Ronald McDonald House Tab Collection:
Those tiny pop tabs on the top of soda cans, sparkling ice cans, etc. can be recycled for cash.  The Ronald McDonald House collects them all year long as a fundraiser for their great organization.  If you would like to collect them at work or just from your home, please send them in to Mrs. Dohl's classroom in ECP 4.

Service Opportunity at Brookdale
_You are welcome to participate /attend any of the Jitterbugs events that are held at
Brookdale Hockessin (formerly Windsor Place on Route 48).  They are always held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:30am and are listed in the Hockessin Community News as an open event for the public.

Help Needed!
A note from the Parish Outreach Coordinator, Janice Rowan:
Wanted:  Individuals and/or families who would shop for bargains each week or each month in local supermarkets. We could identify what to buy and would reimburse the shoppers quickly. Food could be dropped off at the Vianney House or our office. Sometimes there is a strict limit on sale items; other times, one can buy as much as one can carry out. One of my volunteers handles about 4-5 stores, and that is too much.

Also, from time to time, we really need men or boys ( or very strong gals)  to help store donations in the clothes closet or to handle bags of food  and large pieces of meat at holiday time. This help would be sporadic. (More information on this will be put on the website as the needs arise so please check back!)

To sign up to help, contact Janice Rowan at: Rowan@rowan.edu
Attention Shoppers!!!  Do you shop online with Amazon.com?  If so, please consider designating "Neighbors to Nicaragua" as your charity to benefit from your spending by going to: www.smile.amazon.com Every dollar helps!

Our clothing drive for Neighbors to Nicaragua yielded 63 boxes in total and the tag day raised $550 toward the cost of shipping.  Thank you to all those who donated clothes and time and especially to Hopkins and Sons moving company who donated boxes, tape, men to load the boxes on the truck, and the truck to deliver them to the shipping company!
